Mr. Nick Braccini of Pleasant Shade was pronounced dead at the Riverview Regional Medical Center Emergency Room in Carthage at 12:17 a.m. Monday morning January 2, 2016 after collapsing with an apparent heart attack at his Dickerson Hollow Lane home. He was 56.
Funeral services from the North Carthage Baptist Church were conducted by the church pastor Eld. Charles Allen Gentry and the associate pastor Bro. Zary Shealy at 11 a.m. Thursday morning January 5th. Burial followed in the Garden of Gethsemane at Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Born Nicholas Paul Braccini on December 15, 1960 in Baintree in Essex, England, he was one of two sons of the late Fredrick Art Braccini and Janet F. Fulbrook Braccini.
On June 28, 2003 in the garden at the Tommy Ballinger home on Main Street North in Carthage, Nick was united in marriage to Carthage native, the former Janet Carol Ballinger. The ceremony was performed by Eld. Charles Allen Gentry.
Mr. Braccini was a 1979 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio.
At the time of his death he was a dispatcher for Ozark Transportation.
He was a member of the North Carthage Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of only twelve years are his children, Josh Braccini of Columbus, Ohio, Mandy Braccini of West Jefferson, Ohio; mother-in-law, June Nesbitt Ballinger of Carthage; brother, Neil Braccini and wife Cynthia of Dayton, Ohio; grandchild, Hayden Lindsey.
