Mr. Frankie Albritton age 64 of the Kempville Community died from a sudden heart attack while visiting in Portland and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:04 a.m. Friday morning February 7, 2020.
Eld. James “Pee Wee” Massey officiated at the 3 p.m. graveside services which were conducted Sunday afternoon February 9th. Burial followed in the Gazebo Garden at the Dixon Springs Cemetery.
One of eight children, he was born Alvin Franklin Albritton Jr. in Carthage on February 16, 1955 and was the son of the late Alvin Franklin Albritton Sr. who died June 24, 1993 at the age of 61 and Mayzell Homes Albritton who died November 3, 1987 at the age of 52.
Mr. Albritton was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Faye Albritton who died at the age of 3 days old and by a son-in-law, Stacey Lee Thrower who died at the age of 40 on September 20, 2013.
On July 24, 1977 he was united in marriage to Kempville Community native, Sherry Lynn Brooks who survives.
Mr. Albritton was retired from the Zinc Mine with over 29 years of service and worked during several different ownerships of the mine.
Since retirement he had enjoyed collecting, selling and trading used items.
He had attended the Carthage Church of God.
Surviving are his three children, Sonya Thrower of the Gladdice Community, Tara Gentry and husband Matt of the Elmwood Community, Cody Albritton of the Kempville Community; six siblings, Debra Green of South Carthage, Shirley Albritton Martin and husband Johnny of the Defeated Creek Community, Shelby Albritton Shehane and husband Allen of the Tanglewood Community, Crissey Albritton Yarbrough and husband Nolen of the Maggart Community, Ricky Albritton and wife Lynn Hord Albritton of the Kempville Community, Donald Albritton and wife Anna of the Brush Creek Community; five grandchildren, Jacob Butler, Brenden and Dazey Thrower, Bryson and Brady Gentry; devoted friend, Elizabeth Irwin of Portland.
The family has requested memorials to the Albritton Family Funeral Fund.
