Mrs. Doris White Glover age 89 of South Carthage died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage where she was admitted Saturday September 14th.
Her pastor Bro. Scott Ezell and her associate pastor Bro. Clay Tincher officiated at the 11 a.m. Friday morning September 20th funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Burial followed beside her husband in the Garden of Gethsemane at Smith County Memorial Gardens.
She was one of two daughters born to the late Garrett Hobart White who died January 6, 1983 at the age of 86 and Sadie Florence Grisham White who died November 23, 1998 at the age of 89 and was born Lillie Doris White in The Sullivans Bend Community.
At the home of the late Eld. Phocian Gibbs on December 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Club Springs Community native Raybern Bridges Glover who preceded her in death at the age of 74 on December 3, 1999.
A brother-in-law, John A. Bush Sr., preceded her in death on June 6, 2019 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Glover was employed for seven years at the former Werthan Bag Co. in Nashville and retired from the former Carthage Shirt Corporation in 1985 with over thirty years of service.
As health permitted, she faithfully attended the Carthage Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are her two sons, Roger Glover and wife Genia of Springfield, Ronnie Glover of South Carthage; sister, Melba White Bush of the Maggart Community; grandson, Randy Glover and wife Kristie of South Carthage; great-granddaughter, Ashley Glover and great-grandson Taylor Glover both of Carthage.
