Margaret Evans

    Mrs. Margaret Evans, age 77 of Carthage, died Sunday evening, May 19, at Kindred Nursing and Rehab in Carthage.   She is survived by:  children, Trent Evans of Carthage, Lanette Tillman and husband George of Frankfort, Kentucky, Byron Evans Sr. of Carthage, Eric Evans of Riddleton, Zina King and husband 1SG Jacky King of Carthage; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Evans is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted Thursday afternoon, May 23, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Willie Cameron, Rev. Larry Bowers and Rev. Albert Strawther Jr. officiating. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

    The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12 Noon until service time at 1 p.m.

Joyce Nesbitt

    Ms. Joyce Nesbitt, age 75 of Tanglewood, died Monday evening, May 20, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.  She is survived by  several cousins.

    Ms. Nesbitt is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted Friday afternoon, May 24, at 1:00 p.m. with Eld. Harold Dean Linville and Bro. Shawn Shepherd officiating. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens with Bro. Billy Joe Shoulders officiating.

    The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel on Thursday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.

    The family has requested memorials be made to Russell Hill Missionary Baptist Church or Smith County Help Center.
